Theological Distinctives

We Are

Evangelical

We believe the Bible is the Word of God which is wholly perfect and free from error conveying  exactly what God wished to say to humanity in the original writings and we have extremely reliable copies which are our foundation for all faith and practice.
We believe Jesus Christ to God incarnate (in flesh).  Jesus lived a perfect life and died and rose again physically from the grace conquering all sin and death.

We believe individuals are saved by the grace of God alone through faith in Christ alone. There is no salvation outside of Jesus Christ.

We believe the gospel (or good news) of Jesus Christ is to be shared with others through personal encounters both domestically and abroad.

Protestant

We believe in the truths captures in what have been called the Five Solas of the Reformation:
Sola Scriptura (Scripture Alone) - The Bible is the sole infallible rule of faith and practice for the church.

Sola Gratia, Sola Fide, Solus Christus (Grace alone, Faith alone, Christ alone) - Justification is not by works but by grace alone through faith alone on account of Christ's obedience and death alone.

Soli Deo Gloria (to God alone be the glory) -  God rightly deserves all the Glory for the justification of sinners.
Reformed

We believe in the sovereign work of grace in the salvation of individuals.
We believe that the atonement of Christ was an actual (not potential) covering of sin.
We believe in the inputed righteousness of Christ to all who place their faith in Him.

Credobaptist

We believe Baptism is the immersion in water of a believer, in the Name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, showing our faith in the crucified, buried, and risen Savior.

Complementarian

We believe that God created humanity male and female and the essential equality and unity of redeemed men and women in Christ. Nonetheless, this does not negate God-ordained gender roles in the life of the church and family.
